*Zoom and services that include the name Zoom are services provided by Zoom Video Communications, Inc.

From July 15, 2022, Zoom will have a 40-minute limit even for meetings with two participants if you have a free subscription. (Previously, it was only for meetings with 3 or more people.)
Companies and organizations using Zoom for business should consider switching to a paid license at this opportunity.

To all Zoom users and those who are thinking of introducing Zoom into their internal tools, we would like to introduce a feature that we would like to introduce is the link between Zoom and calendar services such as Google Calendar.

This time, we will explain the benefits of linking calendar services such as Zoom and Google Calendar, and how to set up each PC and smartphone application.

Advantages of linking services such as Zoom and Google Calendar [PC Edition]

Linking Zoom and Google Calendar has the following advantages.

  • Schedule a Zoom meeting from Google Calendar
  • Participation URL and details can be sent to meeting participants all at once through Google Calendar
  • Participants can join the meeting by simply clicking the join URL on the calendar

These three benefits are especially useful when you have regular meetings with your company or clients, and for advance notice of large meetings.

Whether you open or participate in a Zoom meeting, you have to write the schedule and manage the URL separately, but by linking Zoom and calendar services such as Google Calendar, you can do them all at once.

How to link Zoom and Google Calendar

We will explain how to link and register Zoom and Google Calendar. If you normally use Firefox, you can follow the same procedure.

Cooperation method

  1. Open Zoom official site
  2. Download the extension for Chrome browser from the bottom of the page
  3. Click “Add to Chrome”
  4. You will be asked if you want to add the Zoom function to your browser, so click ‘Add extension’

summary

How was it? This time, I explained how to link Google Calendar and Zoom, which is a must-know for regular meetings and meetings with a large number of people in the company.

Some parts are in English, but it’s not that difficult, so I don’t think you’ll have any trouble setting it up.

One of the features of Zoom is that it is very rich and excellent in cooperation with other applications and systems, like cooperation with Google Calendar.

In addition, it is necessary to switch to a paid license, but it is also possible to seamlessly link with business tools such as Slack, so it is recommended to consider it.

Also, if you have a paid license, you can use web meetings without a time limit of 40 minutes, which is very convenient.

The cost of a paid license will vary depending on the functions you need and the number of participants, so if you are thinking about introducing a paid Zoom license, it is better to contact us from the banner or button below.

The person in charge will guide you to the best plan and price.
