Frequently Asked Questions

Can you make a phone call via zoom?

Making phone calls

Zoom Phone can be used for making and receiving calls once you have completed the setup process. Use the dial pad to make calls or search through your internal, external, or synced contacts to search for the contact you are looking for. As for incoming calls, you can decline a call if you wish to route it to your voicemail.

How do I receive zoom calls on my phone?

By clicking the up arrow next to the Audio Settings tab, you can switch the audio to your phone. Go to the Phone Call tab by clicking on it. You can also join the meeting by having Zoom dial your phone number if you have the call out add-on, but if you do not have this feature, you can still join via Zoom.

How do Zoom calls work?

In order to make Zoom phone calls over the cloud, Zoom Phone uses Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) to help you do so. In many ways, this is similar to making a phone call from a landline phone number, except for the fact that the calls are hosted in the cloud. A number of additional features are included with Zoom Phone in order to make your calling experience seamless.

How do you answer a Zoom call on android?

Signing in and joining a meeting with your Android device is very easy. If you are joining a Zoom meeting without signing in when Zoom is launched, click Join a Meeting after Zoom is launched. The Sign In button will be displayed if you wish to log in so you can start or schedule your own meeting. Signing in can be done using a Zoom, Google, or Facebook account.

Why am I not receiving calls on Zoom?

The problem is most likely caused by a network issue. Please try placing a phone call on another network connection or you can also use a mobile device with a data connection to place a call. As long as other networks do not drop calls over the same network, a firewall/port on the network that is dropping calls should be checked.
