  2. Run downloaded file as administrator
  3. Agree to the license and click “Continue”
  4. Specify the destination and click “OK”
  5. Click “OK” when the deployment completion pop-up is displayed
  6. Describe “<Property Name=”SharedComputerLicensing” Value=”1″ />” in “configuration-Office<xxxxxx>.xml” to be installed
  7. Once the xml file is complete, start the installation with the command “setup.exe /configure configuration-<xxxxxx>.xml”

When to use Group Policy

  1. Download Administrative Template files for Office (Download page: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49030 )
  2. Run downloaded file as administrator
  3. Agree to the license and click “Continue”
  4. Specify the destination and click “OK”
  5. Click “OK” when the deployment completion pop-up is displayed
  6. Place the admx file under “Policy Definitions” in the central store
  7. Enable “Use Shared Computer Activation” in “Manage Group Policy” of AD server

When to use Registry Editor

  1. Start Registry Editor
  2. Run the following registry settings

  2. Run downloaded file as administrator
  3. Click “Install”
  4. Click “I agree”
  5. Enter the account you use for Office and click “Start”
  6. Click “Yes”
  7. Click “Restart”
  8. When “We found a problem that could not activate the license” is displayed, select “Yes” and click “Next”
  9. When you see “Shared computer problem fixed”, click “Next”
