Companies and organizations using Zoom for business should consider switching to a paid license at this opportunity.
Here, we introduce the operation procedure for creating multiple accounts on Zoom.
There are also instructions on how to switch between multiple accounts and points to note when using multiple devices with one account , so please refer to them as well.
Can I register multiple accounts on Zoom?
Registering multiple accounts is convenient if you want to use different Zoom accounts for work and personal use, or if you want to use Zoom on multiple devices at the same time.
First, let’s take a closer look at the steps to create multiple accounts.
An email address is required to create an account
An email address is required to create an account on Zoom .
Since one address is associated with one account, if you create multiple accounts , you will have to register with a different email address than the first account .
Please note that you cannot create multiple accounts with the same email address .
How to create an account (Windows/Mac)
- Access the Zoom website (https://zoom.us/)
- Click “Sign up is free”
- Select your date of birth and click Continue
- Enter your email address and click “Sign up”
- Open the email you received and click “Activate Account”
- You will be asked if you want to register as a school representative, so select “Yes” or “No” and click “Continue”
- Set your name and password and click “Continue”
- Invite others or click Skip Step
- Click “Start Zoom Meeting Now”
If you are creating a Zoom account for the first time, you will need to install the desktop app after signing up.
For the second and subsequent users, the app has already been installed, so you can use Zoom immediately after signing in.
How to create an account (iPad/iPhone/Android)
- Launch the Zoom app and tap “Sign up” (If you are already logged in with the first account, log out first before operating)
- Set your birthday, email address, name and tap “Sign up”
- Open the email you received and tap “Active Account”
- Set a password and tap “Continue”
- Invite others or tap Skip Step
- Tap “Go to My Account”
In the case of smartphones and tablets, it is smoother to operate from the app than the browser .
If you are creating a Zoom account for the first time, install the Zoom app first and proceed to sign up from the app.
You can also sign in with Google/Facebook
If you find it troublesome to enter your email address, you can also sign in to Zoom with your Google or Facebook account .
Your Google account and Facebook account are already linked to your email address, so you can easily use multiple accounts by simply switching accounts.
If you have multiple Google accounts or Facebook accounts, consider using the linkage function.
However, there is no problem with having multiple accounts, but please note that sharing an account with multiple people is a violation of the rules.
How to switch between multiple Zoom accounts
Even if you have multiple accounts, you can only sign in to one account at a time on one device .
Next, let’s take a look at how to switch accounts within a device, and points to note when using multiple devices with one account.

Can I host multiple meetings at the same time with one account? (host)
Zoom does not allow meetings to be held on the same account at the same time.
If you are already hosting a meeting and try to start a new meeting, you will be prompted to end the meeting in progress.
Also, if you have a Business plan or higher license, you can hold up to two meetings at the same time.
If you need to host meetings at the same time, consider licensing the Business plan or higher.
summary
- Zoom allows you to create as many accounts as the number of email addresses you use.
- To switch between multiple accounts, you need to log out and then log back in with another account.
- If you have a Business plan or higher license, you can host and participate in multiple meetings with the same account.
In the business scene where meetings are frequent , it is smoother to obtain a Business plan or higher license than to create multiple accounts .
