VoiceWarp® is a trademark of the automatic call forwarding service for NTT East/NTT West landlines and Hikari Denwa.

Due to the influence of the new coronavirus, which began to spread in 2020, the number of companies introducing telework is increasing.

While you can work from home or a co-working space without having to go to the office, you still have to answer the company’s phone calls.

Therefore, the tool that many companies are adopting to eliminate the need to come to work to answer the phone is a call forwarding service. With our call forwarding service, you can answer incoming calls to your company’s landline from home or on the go.

This time, I will explain how to transfer a call. We also introduce how to set up and recommended services, so if you want to solve the problem of answering the phone during telework, please refer to it.

What is call forwarding?

Call forwarding refers to the ability to transfer incoming calls on a phone line to another line.

By using the call forwarding function, you can respond to incoming calls to your company or office landline with other communication devices such as your home landline or mobile phones such as iPhones and smartphones.

There are several ways to forward incoming calls to your company’s landline phone to other terminals such as mobile phones.

  • Set up external call forwarding for your desk phone
  • Use cloud PBX
  • Use a fixed line forwarding service

We’ll show you how to transfer calls.

Set up external call forwarding for landlines (business phones)

Usually, fixed-line telephones (business phones) used in companies are equipped with extension/outside call forwarding functions.

Use the external line forwarding function when forwarding calls to a landline phone.

There are two ways to transfer calls using the external line transfer function: “External line manual transfer” and “External line automatic transfer”.

How to manually transfer outside lines

External line manual transfer is a method of transferring an external call after receiving it once.

For example, answer a call for an out-of-office representative on your company’s landline, put the call on hold, and then call the representative.

After telling the agent what to do, the call on hold is connected to the person in charge via the company’s landline.

How to use automatic forwarding

Automatic call forwarding is a method of automatically forwarding incoming calls from outside lines to other terminals such as smartphones.

In this case, there is no need for someone to answer the company’s landline, so there is no need for an employee to come to the office to answer the phone.

However, the number of numbers that can be set as forwarding destinations varies by phone.

If only one forwarding destination can be set, there is a possibility that the original work will be stagnant because the calls will be concentrated on the specific employee set as the forwarding destination . It will be necessary to review the transfer method and service.

Use cloud PBX

Use cloud PBXCloud PBX is a service that can improve the conventional telephone environment on the Internet by converting the PBX (Private Branch Exchange) placed on the premises into the cloud.

In the case of the method of call transfer via cloud PBX, there is no need to relay the company’s landline phone because it uses the Internet line.

In other words, this method also saves someone the trouble of going to the office and answering the landline.

Use a fixed line forwarding service

Use a fixed line forwarding serviceThis is a method of using the “call forwarding service” that is independently provided as an additional service by the communication carrier with which you have a contract for the forwarding line.

The phone transfer services provided by NTT East/West, Softbank, and KDDI Hikari Direct, which are famous as communication carriers, are as follows.

career call forwarding service
NTT East/West voice warp
Softbank Multifunctional forwarding service
KDDI Hikari Direct (au Hikari Phone) call forwarding service

If you use the transfer method using the above service, you can receive incoming calls on your company or office landline phone with a mobile phone such as an iPhone.

In addition, these services include unconditional forwarding that immediately transfers the call without ringing the forwarding phone, and no-answer forwarding that calls the forwarding fixed-line phone once and transfers it to another terminal such as a mobile phone only when there is no answer. , you can select and set the most suitable forwarding method for your company.
